The course introduces the students to the painting techniques practised between 1300 and 1500. They also study the major art works created during that period by artists from Giotto to Leonardo and Michelangelo. The knowledge gained will be put into practice by the copying of paintings in order for the student to learn the fundamental techniques used; such as egg tempera, gold leaf, oil colours and other materials. The entire process for the realization of complete paintings will start by the preparation of the supports and it will end with the final glazing.
