LANGUAGE COURSES - STANDARD
The Standard Italian Courses take place from Monday
to Friday, four hours a day, in the morning (9am–1pm)
and can be attended for periods varying from 2 to 24
weeks. There are six levels in all, from absolute beginners
to the diploma level.
There are no more than twelve students in each class
and teaching is assigned to two teachers who develop
the language (9am-10:50am) and the conversation programme
(11:10am–1pm).
An entry examination determines the appropriate level
for all non-beginners.
All levels are guaranteed to take place all year round.
ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSES
- INTENSIVE
The Intensive Italian Courses
take place from Monday to Friday, six hours a day, in
the morning (9am to 1pm) and two in the afternoon (2pm
to 4pm). They can be attended for periods varying between
2 and 24 weeks.
There are six levels in all,
from absolute beginners to the diploma level. There

teaching is assigned to three teachers who develop the
language programme (9am to 10:50am), the conversation
programme (11:10am to 1pm) and the revision and vocabulary
building programme (2pm to 4pm).
An entry examination determines the appropriate study
level for all non-beginner students.
All levels are guaranteed
to take place all year round.
ITALIAN SUPER INTENSIVE
COURSES
The Super Intensive Italian
Courses take place from Monday to Friday, six hours
a day, in the morning (9am to 1pm) and two hours of
private lesson in the afternoon (2pm to 4pm).
They can be attended for periods varying from two, three
of four weeks.
In the morning the student
is placed in one of the 6 levels of study, from absolute
beginners to the diploma level and in the mornings develops
the language programme (9am to 10:50am) and the conversation
programme (11:10am to 1pm).
In the afternoon (2pm to 4pm) the student follows an
individual programme with a private teacher with whom
the capacity to use the language is developed in relation
to the student’s needs.
INDIVIDUAL COURSES
(ONE TO ONE)
The Institute offers Individual
Courses to those who have at their disposal only a short
amount of time in which to achieve specific aims in
their ability to express and to understand Italian.
The one to one Italian courses
are adapted to the needs of the student, to the time
available and to the method required. The frequent use
of Italian allows the student to become attuned gradually
to the predefined structures and terms of the language.
It is the best way to cover a broad range of possibilities
of communication, from the simple to the complex.
The Institute proposes several
‘options’ of full-immersion courses (one-to-one),
from which students may choose the one that best suits
their needs.
SPECIALISATION COURSE
IN ITALIAN
The Specialisation Course
in Italian is open to teachers of Italian and those
students who have complete mastery over the language.
The course is offered all
year round. Lessons are held from Monday to Friday,
four hours a day.
Highly specialised teachers alternate in accordance
with the subjects
The course may be attended
for two, three or four weeks.

- Evolution and structural change in present day Italian
- Neologism
- Language and dialect
- Phonetics
- Style in the written language
- Formal and informal language
- Analysis of literary texts
- Analysis of the press and of mass-media language
- Methods for the teaching of Italian
